Kässbohrer’s Next Generation Curtainsider Series is the result of Kässbohrer’s extensive experience and expertise in all transportation modes coupled with advanced prototype testing capabilities and production technologies.
The series with state-of-the-art engineering and premium materials, the Next Generation Curtainsider Series is built using fully automated robotic welding and advanced surface coating technologies. Whereas the powerful but lightweight Kässbohrer chassis ensures maximum durability and resistance to environmental factors, together with the user and operational friendly innovative upper structure, Kässbohrer designed the new series to exceed the demands of modern transportation, delivering exceptional driving performance, safety, and efficiency.

During the Next Generation Curtainsider development Kässbohrer’s state-of-the-art technological advancements produced 12 new patents and 3 new utility models, delivering durability and efficiency in perfect harmony. The New Curtainsiders feature overall 36 patent and 7 utility model protected next generation technologies.
Developed by the Kässbohrer’s second R&D center, the Next Generation Curtainsider Series has undergone rigorous testing, simulating 2.500.000 km of the most challenging road conditions to guarantee stability, load safety, vehicle reliability and longevity.

New Generation curtainsiders achieve perfected torsional and buckling performance and lateral-force-resistance ensuring outstanding performance and safety on roughest roads, during high-speed turns and in tight curves.
Protected by Kässbohrer's renowned KTL coating with zinc phosphate technology, the chassis offers exceptional corrosion resistance, with 10 years of rust perforation protection.
ENHANCED USABILITY AND FUNCTIONALITY
FOR EFFICIENT OPERATIONS
Kässbohrer’s Next Generation curtainsider series provides a user-friendly experience with features such as lightweight roof caps, central pillars, and user-friendly roof-lifting system. The patented integrated cross-tensioning system, K-Tension, in the roof tarpaulin ensures a stable roof structure that resists lateral stress, preventing sagging and ensuring safe loading.
Additional features include a multi-bolt fixed floor with a 7.2 ton forklift axle load capacity and water-resistant sealing, ensuring long-term durability with minimal maintenance. With its Code XL certified durable front panel developed with new generation bolted aluminum panels and aluminum front pillars, Kässbohrer Next Generation Curtainsider Series offers rust free long-term use to its users.
Furthermore, secure docking is further supported by welded rear pillars, high-friction resistant ramp buffers, and reinforced rear door hinge guards, delivering unparalleled safety during loading and unloading operations.
Kässbohrer’s new chassis is engineered with the K-Fix system, patented load-strapping technology, offering 17,000 ways to fix a load through strapping holes spaced every 70 mm and 13 x 2 securing rings along the frame. Additional load securing bars, 400dAN capacity side walls, pillar pockets and pallet stoppers complete full load securing features. This total load security features ensure no load shift, providing safety in motion for diverse transportation needs and ensuring optimal load security for all transportation needs.

Engineered for intermodal excellence, Kässbohrer’s Next Generation curtainsider excels in both road, rail, and sea transport. Its advanced anti deflection capabilities ensure smooth and reliable loading for trains, while the sliding bumper minimizes damage during ferry boarding. Additionally, the reinforced closed king-pin area enhances safety and efficiency in port operations.

Kässbohrer New Generation Curtainsiders, engineered to perfection and manufactured to highest quality with premium materials went through longest period of durability and functionality tests for longer vehicle life. The chassis benefits from a six-layer surface protection system and Kässbohrer's renowned KTL coating with zinc phosphate technology and features optional metallization for additional rust resistance in harsh environments.
With its corrosion-resistant KTL coating, rust-preventing aluminum front wall, and high floor durability, the robust chassis is built to withstand the most demanding conditions. It's modular design, featuring bolted aluminum front stanchions, aluminum panel structure front wall, bolted pallet stops and forklift barriers, ensures easy maintenance and repair.
