Kässbohrer delivers to Scharrer- Andresen, member of the Hoyer Group

BITUMEN TANKER WITH WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL
The leading bitumen tanker producer Kässbohrer delivers its newly developed Bitumen Tanker Semi-Trailer, K.STS, with wireless remote control to Scharrer & Andresen GmbH, a subsidiary of the Hoyer GmbH in Hamburg/Germany.

Scharrer & Andresen GmbH is a longtime business partner of Total Bitumen Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of the Total Group and one of world’s biggest petroleum enterprises. The delivery ceremony of the K.STS has taken place at the Total headquarters in Brunsbüttel, 30th of July 2013.

Latest Technology for Safety and Efficiency 

In accordance with the Total Bitumen Deutschland GmbH operational goals, Kässbohrer’s R&D team engineered the K.STS with a wireless remote control for enhanced safety and efficiency during unloading process. 

The pneumatic discharge system with wireless remote control will provide Total Bitumen Deutschland GmbH extra safety by minimizing manual work during the unloading process. Consequently, operational efficiency is achieved by eliminating the operation steps and reducing required operation time.

Furthermore, the sliding dome collar covers, made of stainless steel, will guarantee the constant temperature during the transportation of the bitumen under all weather conditions. 

In addition, the special pneumatically operated aluminum folding handrails in combination with the aluminum ladder enable a quick and safe access for the operators during loading and unloading.
