Kässbohrer Delivers Extendable Low-Bed to Engtra Transporte GmbH, Strengthening Flexibility in Special Transport
Kässbohrer has delivered an extendable 4-axle jumbo low-bed semi-trailer with wheel recesses, K.SLA RJ 4, to Engtra Transporte GmbH. The delivery took place at Kässbohrer’s Goch production facility, with the participation by Mr. Axel Kalmey, Owner of Engtra Transporte GmbH, and Mr. Thorsten Warzecha, Kässbohrer Area Sales Manager North Rhine-Westphalia.
Engtra Transporte GmbH, with headquarters in Bramsche-Engter, Niedersachsen, Germany, operates internationally, offering expert services in heavy-duty and special transport, and trade fair/event logistics.
Mr. Axel Kalmey, Owner of Engtra Transporte GmbH, shared his views on the cooperation:
“As a company managing a wide range of transport operations, from highly individualized to event-specific logistics, we depend on equipment that offers both flexibility and reliability. We selected Kässbohrer because their extendable low-bed trailer is well-suited for our operations, especially with its integrated wheel recesses and low platform height, giving us a clear advantage of safely transporting higher machinery without requiring special permits. With this new vehicle, we are confident to keep operational efficiency and safety at the forefront. With the Kässbohrer team’s efficient execution, we look forward to developing our partnership moving forward.”
Speaking on behalf of Kässbohrer, Mr. Thorsten Warzecha, Kässbohrer Area Sales Manager North Rhine-Westphalia, stated:
“We are pleased to support Engtra Transporte GmbH in their specialized transport operations. With Enginuity, Kässbohrer continuously develops its low-bed range to meet the exact needs of its customers operating in complex transport conditions across Europe.
The newly delivered extendable 4-axle jumbo low-bed with wheel recesses semi-trailer, K.SLA RJ 4, is engineered for maximum safety and efficiency when transporting tall and heavy machinery. With a tare weight starting of 11,800 kg, 770 mm platform height, and wheel recesses reducing loading height by 425 mm to 345 mm, our 4-axle lowbed enables efficient transport without special permits. The extendable chassis enables the transport of loads up to 12.740 mm meters with 500mm incremental extension offers operational flexibility. The reduced loading height combined with 105 mm of extra clearance makes the vehicle well-suited for the safe and stable transport of tall machinery.
The delivered trailer is part of Kässbohrer’s K.SLA series, available in 3 to 6 axle configurations and precisely engineered for superior heavy-duty performance. Equipped with an extendable chassis and a 3-step side extension system, the series accommodates a wide range of load dimensions. It offers over 40 ramp configurations, up to 32 lashing rings with capacities of 5, 6, 8, 10, or 13.4 tons, integrated container locks, and vertical and horizontal pillar pockets—ensuring operational flexibility, durability, and safety.
We thank Mr. Axel Kalmey and his team for their trust in Kässbohrer and look forward to our continued cooperation.”
