Motocross race in Achstetten
Germany’s more than 120 year old semi-trailer manufacturer Kässbohrer announced today that it provided sponsorship to the motocross race “Stoppellackercross 2016” organized by MSC Donau Riss in Achstetten, close to Kässbohrer’s new plant in Ulm. The race is run last weekend, October 8-9.
The exciting competition gathered 90 riders together on a harvested corn field between Achstetten and Ersingen, in Germany, that offered racers a successful blend of fast flat-out passages, challenging corners and chicanes. The weather was dry during the two-day races, despite dark clouds.
Kässbohrer supplied one of its light maxima curtainsiders, K.SCL X+, to be used as the stage of the competition from its new location in Ulm.
Wilhelm Burkhart, Production Manager of Kässbohrer’s Ulm plant said, “We are happy for having provided a contribution to this race in our neighbourhood. As Kässbohrer, in addition to providing transport solutions to our customers all around the world, we are working for the development of the community we live in. And this challenging race, where we witnessed a fair competition, was quite fun indeed.”
In April this year, Kässbohrer had announced its decision to return back its hometown, Ulm, 23 years after the company had ceased its operations in this industrial city in Germany’s south-western state Baden-Württemberg and 123 years after Karl Kässbohrer founded the company.
