Samat International AB Expands Its Fleet with Five Kässbohrer Chemical Tankers, Reinforcing Long-Standing Trust

Kässbohrer has strengthened its long-standing cooperation with Samat International AB through the delivery of five 34 m³ chemical tankers, K.STC 34, supporting Samat’s growing hazardous goods transport activities in Sweden. The handover took place in Helsingborg with the participation of Mr. Jon Nilsson, Operations Manager, Mr. Daniel Hauffe, Managing Director, and Mr. Mehmet Önen, Key Account Manager at Kässbohrer.

Headquartered in France and operating in more than ten European countries, Samat Group is recognized for its expertise in the safe transport and handling of liquid chemicals, hydrocarbons, LPG, and other sensitive liquid goods. Its services include bulk tank and tank-container transport, tank cleaning, and specialized logistics solutions for demanding industrial supply chains.

Samat Highlighted Operational Benefits Driving Its Continued Investment in Kässbohrer

During the delivery ceremony, Samat International AB emphasized the importance of reliable, lightweight, and operationally adaptable equipment in its ADR-compliant transport activities. The company values features such as low tare weight, effective insulation and heating systems for temperature-sensitive chemical goods, and the ability to configure compartment layouts and discharge systems according to specific operational needs.

Commenting on the new delivery, Mr. Jon Nilsson, Operations Manager at Samat International AB, stated:

“With this delivery, we are expanding our fleet in Sweden with five new Kässbohrer chemical tankers. Across our wider operations, including Poland and France, Kässbohrer tankers and silos have consistently supported our activities with reliable and predictable performance in our daily hazardous goods transport operations. Our long-term operational experience has made continuing our investment in Kässbohrer the clear choice.

For ADR transport, payload maximization is essential. Kässbohrer’s chemical tankers offer a low tare weight that enables efficient planning, higher productivity, and cost-effective operation while meeting all safety and compliance requirements. The insulation and stainless-steel heating channels are equally important, as they ensure temperature stability when transporting different chemical products in varying climate conditions.

The ability to specify the correct configuration—such as the 34 m³ four-compartment layout and right-side separate discharge system delivered for our Sweden fleet—ensures that the tankers match our operational needs precisely. Kässbohrer understands these requirements and delivers engineering solutions that give us confidence in the long-term performance of our fleet.”

Enginuity in Action: How Kässbohrer Supports Complex Dangerous Goods Transport

Speaking on behalf of Kässbohrer, Mr. Mehmet Önen, Key Account Manager, highlighted the significance of the long-standing cooperation with Samat International AB.

“We are proud to support Samat International AB, a leading operator in the transport of hazardous and sensitive goods and a valued partner since 2012. Their decision to expand their fleet with our new chemical tankers reflects the trust established over many years of collaboration.”

Kässbohrer’s approach to tanker engineering is rooted in its Enginuity principle — engineering paired with ingenuity. The company develops its tanker series specifically for the demanding requirements of dangerous goods transport, where safety, reliability, and operational efficiency are critical.

Kässbohrer manufactures its tankers in high-capacity production facilities using premium materials, robotic welding technologies, and TÜV- and DEKRA-certified welders. Each tanker undergoes a comprehensive validation program, including 1,000,000 km durability testing, ensuring long-lasting and proven performance for ADR-compliant operations.

Mr. Önen continued:

“Our chemical tanker series is engineered with tare weights starting from 6,500 kg to support efficient and cost-effective ADR-compliant operations. This advantage contributes directly to better payload management and more effective operational planning while meeting all safety and regulatory standards.”

To meet the needs of operators working across different climates and transporting various chemical products, Kässbohrer offers several insulation configurations. These include glass wool in multiple thicknesses, stainless-steel, aluminum, or GRP claddings, with construction supported by stainless-steel insulation rings and FRP end domes. Stainless-steel heating channels maintain temperature stability throughout transport. Operators can also select from different discharge layouts to align the tanker with their specific workflows.

For Samat International AB, the tankers delivered to the Sweden fleet feature:

·       34 m³ capacity

·       Four-compartment layout selected from two- to four-compartment options

·       100 mm glass wool insulation

·       Stainless-steel tank body

·       Right-side separate discharge system providing individual discharge outlets for each compartment

These specifications were arranged to support effective planning and enhanced operational performance in Samat’s ADR chemical transport activities.

Mr. Önen concluded:

“Together with the tankers and silos already operating in Samat’s French and Polish fleets, these new K.STC 34 vehicles further strengthen our partnership in hazardous and sensitive goods transport. We thank Mr. Nilsson, Mr. Hauffe, and the Samat International AB team for their trust in Kässbohrer and look forward to continuing our cooperation.”
