Kässbohrer’s SOK LG flex carrier is offered with galvanized chassis to prevent rusting, extendable up to 16.000 mm with two different combinations from both middle and rear extension and has self- steering axle that offers maximum maneuverability while it is extended. Multiple usages of ramps allow different combinations of loadings according to types of load.

Developed for demanding commercial vehicle transportation, Kässbohrer’s Flex Carrier, SOK LG, is engineered to ensure flexible and multi-functional transport for commercial vehicles. With K.SOK LG, users can transport 4 x 2 to 6 x 4 trucks, tipper truck bodies and construction trucks, mini and midi-buses, vans and last but not least, pick-ups and construction machinery thanks to its extendable chassis and various decking options. At Kässbohrer, safety in commercial vehicle transport is integrated into the engineering, validation and testing processes. The Flex Carrier, SOK LG after comprehensive testing by DEKRA is compliant with VDI 2700 covering Sections 8.1 and 8.2.
UNDERSTANDING VDI 2700 PARTS 8.1 AND 8.2
The VDI 2700 guideline defines best-practice requirements for securing commercial vehicles during road transport. The latest editions place particular focus on vehicle transporters and commercial vehicle carriers. Kässbohrer Flex Carrier, SOK LG, is compliant with VDI 2700 Parts 8.1 and 8.2.
VDI 2700 8.1 – LOAD SAFETY
VDI 2700 Section 8.1 focuses on evaluating the suitability of vehicle superstructures for load securing. For the Kässbohrer Flex Carrier, SOK LG, this scope includes;
- The load capacity of load securing points,
- Conformity testing and certification requirements.
This approach ensures that the transported load is securely restrained as part of the vehicle system, providing safety and stability during braking, cornering, and sudden maneuvers.
VDI 2700 8.2 – LOAD SECURING EQUIPMENT
VDI 2700 Section 8.2 directly covers the performance of load securing equipment. The lashing systems, wheel securing devices, and locking mechanisms used on the Kässbohrer Flex Carrier, SOK.LG, have been evaluated in accordance with;
- Technical performance criteria,
- Specified test and verification methods,
- Requirements for correct use and labeling.
Together, these sections establish a common and verifiable technical reference used by OEMs, fleet operators and inspection bodies when evaluating the safety of commercial vehicle transportation.
DOCUMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION SUPPORT
The VDI 2700 Certificate is provided as standard and should be requested from your dedicated sales representatives.
For customers who already own a truck transporter, the certificate can also be issued for Kässbohrer users upon submission of the following information:
- Vehicle identification data and detailed configuration information
- Inspection and assessment reports related to load securing equipment
- Confirmation of compliance with VDI 2700 load securing principles
Certification is issued based on the results of inspections and applicable assessment procedures carried out by authorized inspection bodies.
