The transport and logistics industry is committed to an open Europe. Association of Forwarding and Logistics Baden-Württemberg (VSL) has presented a corresponding initiative at the trade fair Transport Logistic in Munich. The ETM Verlag from Stuttgart supports with its trade magazines trans aktuell, FERNFAHRER and lastauto omnibus the initiative with the name "Logistics for Europe".
For VSL President Karlhubert Dischinger it is about showing the flag and embracing a free and open Europe. The background is the many Europrakritic voices. In the core countries of the European Union, right-wing populists question the common values and economic structures and even create the election of a presidential election in Austria and France. For logistics company Karlhubert Dischinger from Ehrenkirchen are the alarm signals.
Europe should not be put down by populists, warns Dischinger. "After all, we have prosperity and peace for 70 years, not least because of open borders", explains the entrepreneur and affirms that it is worth engaging in Europe.
23 companies from the fields of transport, logistics, vehicle construction, cargo transport and media had already joined the initiative. Meanwhile, the number of supporters has almost doubled, with the trend rising.
On his website www.logistics-for-europe.com, the VSL explains in a ten-point list why a commitment to an open and free Europe is worthwhile. On the page you will also find the logos and names of the competitors. Dischinger is also keen to push ahead with the initiative at a summer festival of his association at the Kässbohrer vehicle manufacturer in Ulm, which also supports the campaign as an international company, as well as at its annual general meeting on July 18 in Baden-Baden.
