Kässbohrer has taken its place at world’s biggest exhibition for construction equipment, the Bauma 2013, to celebrate the 120 years of engineering excellence and innovation culture.
In 1893, when Karl Kässbohrer founded his Wagenfabrik in Ulm, he redefined what trailer engineering could achieve. Staying true to his ethos, this year, Kässbohrer is celebrating its 120th anniversary. As Kässbohrer’s engineering presents transport solutions for its customers from Ulm to Seoul, Kässbohrer is driven to provide the right balance of ingenuity and engineering to bear on customer service and delivery for the next 120 years.
Kässbohrer’s success is built on the force of Kässbohrer engineers and its innovation culture. During Bauma 2013, Kässbohrer will be presenting the latest product developments on Tipping Silo semi-trailer SSK 40 and its Light Platform semi-trailer K.SLP, as well as launching its new Low-bed series – SLH series.
The SLH series, the new hydraulic axles and wireless remote control Low-bed semi-trailers, was created by Kässbohrer R&D engineers in regard of the market needs with remote control, enabling enhanced maneuvering capability for operational excellence. Kässbohrer’s new SLH series is featuring three different models with three up to five axles and gross weights of up to 74 tons.
As Kässbohrer produced the first silo semi-trailer with a hydraulic tipping system in 1953, today, Kässbohrer is one of the few manufacturers that can provide Tipping Silo vehicles from 40 mᶟ to 90 mᶟ. Starting with 5.500 kg empty weight, K.SSK 40 has an unmatched peformance on the toughest work conditions, as a result of continous product development and performance tests in harsh working conditions. Furthermore, at Bauma, SSK 40 will be exhibited with electro-polished Air Mix Battery, Discharge Cone, Catwalk and Handrails.
Kässbohrer’s Light Platform, SPS is the best choice for transporting light construction equipment and building materials such as plastics, metals, foams, and structural clay blocks. The Light Platform exhibited at Bauma is equipped with enhanced security options, such as 140 pillar pockets and 14 unites special lashing points with 4 ton capacity, yet thanks to its light chassis technology, the tare weight of the SPS is only 6.220 kg. Furthermore, with 200 mm. neck height, SPS is suitable for every road condition and fit for any job.
