Kässbohrer successfully hosted its stakeholders at transport logistics 2025
Kässbohrer has successfully hosted its stakeholders at transport logistics 2025 held in Munich between 2-5 June 20205, showcasing 360 degree sustainability vehicles taking its customers’ business to the next level.
At transport logistics, Kässbohrer announced the continuation its R&D investments with the unveiling of Europe’s first manufacturer’s owned out door test track, the latest addition to Europe’s top capability and capacity R&D infrastructure serving Kässbohrer.
The second K-Expert Talk on Electrification was held on June 3rd 2025 at Kässbohrer stand Hall 6, 323/424. Continuing the discussion from IAA 2024, Kässbohrer proudly hosted its valuable expert project partners from EU funded ZEFES (Zero Emissions flexible vehicle platforms with modular powertrains serving the long-haul Freight Eco System) project. Representatives from ALICE ( Alliance for logistics innovation through collaboration in Europe), DPD, ETB ( European Transport Board), Prima Frio, Scania and Volvo informed on the developments on the implementation of electrified vehicles and intermodal transport.
Embracing the industry’s sustainability challenges with cutting-edge R&D capabilities and strong partnerships, Kässbohrer Board Member İffet Turken commented: ‘ As our industry is going through major transformation to meet zero-emission targets, collaboration across all stakeholders is imperative. We were honored to host our valuable expert project partners in advancing the discussion and provide more visibility on developments and implementation. Kässbohrer will continue to work with all stakeholders in developing and implementing the next level technologies, together to the next 125 years’.
At Kässbohrer stands in transport logistics, prime examples of Kässbohrer’s ‘Enginuity’; its award winning patented Octagon – on Container Chassis, acclaimed robustness top insulation reefer electrified for zero-emission refrigeration as well as the lightest and top user friendly 20 ft tank container chassis were presented.
Kässbohrer Award Winning Octagon-On Container Chassis Series
Kässbohrer container chassis series in fixed and extendable product families present long life, operational ease and robustness assured with Award winner Innovative Octagonal Central Frame Chassis Design.
Winner of Trailer Innovation award in category ‘ Chassis’ the Octagon-on frame has solved 30 year long persistent torsional issues that led to vehicle damage in extension retractation operations.
In April 2024, Octagon-on central frame has been standardized in all Kässbohrer extendable container chassis range as well its standard and lightest fixed gooseneck container chassis.
Approved at Kässbohrer R&D centers for 1.000.000 km of normal life after completing extensive robustness and life cycle test, Kässbohrer container chassis presents robustness ideal load distribution and operational ease.
Kässbohrer will showcase its multi-functional, front-middle and rear extendable octagon-on container chassis, efficiently and safely carrying full range of containers from 20ft to 45ft HC as well as 13.600 mm cargo box and 45 ft swap body. With its chassis design the multi-fuctional extendable container chassis provides best traction and weight distribution performance even carrying 20 ft containers at the rear side.
The Most Efficient, Emission-Reducing Electric Reefer
Kässbohrer’s next generation electrified reefer is equipped with BPW and Thermo King to power refrigeration units electrically during temperature-controlled transportation. The collaboration sets a new standard for the best emission reducing and fuel savings performance.
Featuring Kässbohrer’s top class insulation with a 0.31 K value GRP panel and advanced air circulation, e-Reefer guarantees uniform cooling throughout the vehicle.
Furthermore, this technology enables fuel savings of up to 4,000 liters annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 10 tons—over 50% more efficient than other electrified reefers. The K.SRI E is the optimal solution for the cold chain sector's zero-emission transition.
Europe’s Lightest Tank Container Chassis by Kässbohrer
Kässbohrer will present Europe’s lightest 20ft tank container chassis at the courtyard exhibition area A5-6, Stand 7-9. Manufactured with S 700 MC steel the robust chassis KTL coated for long product life Kässbohrer 20 ft tank container chassis presents 3.250 kg tare weight. Ingeniously designed for maximum versatility K. SFH T features 4 container locks K.SHF.T 20 enables safe and efficient transport of 20 ft tank containers and up to 7.82 swap tank containers maximizing load factor.
Designed in detail for user friendliness, K. SHF T features open access at the rear and rear side walking platforms for easy loading and securing as well as easy discharge, hose carriers precisely placed within the chassis, stainless steel drip tray at the rear, aluminum rear side walking platforms.
Kässbohrer continues its R&D investments
To take its customers business to the next level, Kässbohrer constantly develops it products. Kässbohrer tests and validates its vehicles for robustness, safety, cost optimization for 1.000.000 km of normal use through series of digital and physical test as well as road tests.
Benefitting from Europe’s top capacity and capability test centres spanning over 22.000m2 closed space, Kässbohrer will now benefit from the new outdoor test track at the Adapazarı Mega Campus. Developed in collaboration with leading R&D and testing organization IDIADA, the new track became operational at the beginning of 2025. The new test track brings efficiency to Kässbohrer’s extensive test and validation processes where torsion, vibration and stability test ensuring real-life usage lifespan will be carried in-house.
