Kässbohrer Successfully Hosted Its Stakeholders at Bauma 2025

15 April 2025

Sustainably among top two choice of European heavy haulage experts for the past four consecutive years Kässbohrer welcomed its valued stakeholders from the construction, infrastructure, and energy haulage industries to its stand FN.821/1 at Bauma 2025, held from April 7 to 13 in Munich, Germany.

Dedicated expert teams from Kässbohrer shared the company’s latest progress and innovations while engaging in insightful conversations about heavy haulage transportation regulations and industry developments.

Visitors had the opportunity to examine two outstanding examples of "Enginuity" from Kässbohrer’s comprehensive construction product range: the K.SLA R4, a 4-axle extendable low-bed with wheel recess engineered for efficient, high-load transport of up to 44.75 tons, and the K.SKS B 24, a 3-axle steel tipper designed in detail for operational efficiency.

Constantly Developing Pioneering Heavy Haulage Vehicles

During the exhibition, Kässbohrer Board Member Ms. İffet Türken addressed guests and stakeholders, highlighting the company’s engineering excellence and continuous development efforts to advance customer operations.

Ms. Türken stated: "Kässbohrer has sustainably ranked among the top two choices in the European heavy haulage industry over the past four years. We sincerely thank our customers for their continued trust. Our low-bed trailers are manufactured at Europe’s highest-capacity low-bed production facility, built on Industry 4.0 principles. With meticulous attention to product longevity, our metallization processes have achieved over 2,500 hours of salt spray testing with zero red rust formation."

Ms. Türken continued: "Our commitment to continuous development is driven by our skilled and dedicated teams. Through our 'Enginuity' approach—a blend of engineering excellence and customer-focused innovation—we conduct R&D at one of Europe’s most advanced and versatile testing centers, spanning over 22,000 m² of indoor space. Every vehicle undergoes rigorous validation, including virtual simulations, laboratory testing, and 1,000,000 km of endurance trials. As a result, our heavy haulage range features four patented innovations enhancing operational ease and safety: lashing rings on vertical pillar pocket rows, modular flooring, multi-functional extension brackets, and an automatic alignment system."

New Outdoor Test Track Enhances R&D Efficiency

Ms. Türken proudly announced the launch of Kässbohrer’s new outdoor test track at the Adapazarı Mega Campus. Developed in collaboration with leading R&D and testing organization IDIADA, the new track became operational at the beginning of 2025.

"The new outdoor track comprises ten standard and two customizable test surfaces, specially designed to validate our vehicles under the toughest road conditions. Vehicles undergo final structural testing focused on torsion, vibration, and stability to ensure a real-life usage lifespan of 1,000,000 km. This new facility is a valuable addition to our in-house R&D infrastructure, accelerating the efficiency of our development processes," explained Ms. Türken.

With an unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence, Kässbohrer continues to be the trusted partner of the heavy haulage industry, pushing boundaries to take its customers’ business to the next level for the next 125 years.

Vehicle Highlight: K.SLA R4 – Engineered for Maximum Efficiency and Load Capacity by Kässbohrer

Kässbohrer’s K.SLA R4, an extendable 4-axle low-bed trailer with wheel recess, is engineered to transport high loads up to 44.75 tons efficiently. Its 425 mm deep wheel recess and a loading length of 15.44 meters make it ideal for carrying tall construction and agricultural machinery, steel and concrete blocks, and other industrial components.

The steel-reinforced hardwood drive-on wheel recess covers convert the trailer into a flat platform, increasing versatility. The chassis can extend up to 6,200 mm in 500 mm increments, supported by removable aluminum extension bridges with a total additional capacity of 17 tons. The lateral extension brackets add 300 mm on each side, expanding the width to 3,150 mm to accommodate wider machinery.

Built with high-strength SC 700 steel, the K.SLA R4 maintains a lightweight tare weight starting at 13,250 kg, enhancing fuel efficiency. Its self-steering third and fourth axles ensure high maneuverability under difficult conditions.

Equipped with multiple lashing ring configurations and pillar pockets, the trailer ensures secure transportation for diverse load shapes and sizes. More than 40 ramp configurations allow further customization to meet specific operational needs.

Vehicle Highlight: K.SKS B 24 – Structural Strength Meets Operational Efficiency by Kässbohrer

The 3-axle K.SKS B tipper semi-trailer is built for durability and high performance under demanding construction conditions. With a tare weight starting from 5,350 kg, it offers significant operational efficiency.

Its high-strength chassis, treated with cataphoretic dip-coating (KTL), ensures longevity. The trailer’s 12,000 kg kingpin capacity and innovative upper body design deliver optimal traction and ideal load distribution.

Featuring a newly designed U-shaped floor for fast, residue-free unloading and a 5-stage hydraulic cylinder operating at 250 bar, the K.SKS B is suited for transporting materials like asphalt, earth, and stone.

Compatible with 4x2, 6x2, and 6x4 trucks, the K.SKS B is equipped with a one-touch brake system for stable unloading and a tilt alert system to enhance safety on sloped terrain.
